A mostly true story (in case my Dad is reading), this is an account of one woman’s life changing journey after becoming a single parent.
Whether it’s fact or fiction, the lesson remains the same:
“Singleness shakes and shoves us into taking the leap from wanting someone to being someone.” – Judy Ford
***************
In the three + years that followed my separation my life became a sitcom. Some episodes were funny, others were depressing. All of them taught me something about myself.
You can read the chapters that make up my Sex Lies and Bacon blogvel HERE
Each story is a chance for you to walk in my shoes, to experience my pain(and joy), to laugh like you’ve never laughed before, to learn what it’s like to live without fear, and, most importantly, to be inspired by me.
If a once co-dependent woman like me could find herself and build a fabulous life without a man in the process, you can too!
Being a single woman isn’t easy. Being a single mother is even harder. The world is filled with preconceived notions of who you are, what you’ve done and who you’ll never be. It takes a lot of strength and courage to rise above those stereotypes, find your voice, and prove to yourself that you’re not just another statistic; that you can stand alone.
And you can look damn good doing it!
